There’s still so much of You I don’t know.
ordinary people doing extraordinary things
teach me to be obedient in ordinariness, especially in ordinariness
help me to honor you at all times, in all things
Lord enable me to see the repulsiveness of the things You despise and to ache for You for You. Strip me of lesser pleasures until I am wholly Yours. Even as I say this I’m wary of myself; have me for Yourself for Yourself. By Your grace, for Your glory, Your good pleasure and my ultimate good. I have no excuses; I make no promises. But I can only lean on You, Jesus.
If it’s Your good pleasure to have me here, in this night, then so be it, let me praise and worship You here. I confess the futility of what I considered my wisdom, my will, my righteousness.
Even my words. Strip me of these words if silence better befits me here.
But don’t just let me be as I am.
You won’t let me be as I am.
And I will be forever Yours. I am forever Yours.
